Leeutjie en Louwtjie

’n Bosveldstorie oor vriendskap en avontuur
’n Welpie genaamd Leeutjie ontsnap uit die dieretuin en vlug bergop. Hy
ontmoet vir Louwtjie, ’n jong seun met wie hy boesemvriende word. Louwtjie
se oupa Theuns stem in dat Leeutjie op sy bosveldplaas, Paradys, mag kom
woon. Saam met Bob Bond, ’n mak bobbejaan wat eintlik ’n geheime agent
is, beleef hulle opwindende avonture soos om renosterstropers vas te trek
en wilddiewe te fnuik.

A bushveld story about friendship and adventure
A lion cub named Leeutjie escapes from the zoo and flees up a mountain.
He meets Louwtjie, a young boy with whom he becomes best friends.
Louwtjie’s grandfather Theuns agrees that Leeutjie may come and live on
his bushveld farm, Paradys. Together with Bob Bond, a tame baboon who
is actually a secret agent, they experience exciting adventures like catching
rhino poachers.

Tertia Botha (1925-2013) was die skrywer van onder meer Rebel (Tafelberg, 1994) en Waterkind
(Tafelberg, 1998). Rebel is bekroon met die 1994 Brons Sanlamprys vir Jeuglektuur. As letterkundige en senior dosent aan die destydse Universiteit van Natal, het sy ook verskeie bydraes tot
gepubliseerde akademiese boeke gemaak.
Tertia Botha (1925-2013) was the author of, among others, Rebel (Tafelberg, 1994) and Waterkind
(Tafelberg, 1998). Rebel was awarded the 1994 Bronze Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature. As a senior
lecturer at the then University of Natal, she also made several contributions to published academic
books.
Illustreerder/Illustrator
Zsa-Zsa Venter het in 2011 haar Nasionale Diploma in Beeldende Kunste aan die Sentrale
Universiteit van Tegnologie in Bloemfontein verwerf. Sy illustreer kinderboeke en werk graag aan
opvoedkundige produkte.
Zsa-Zsa Venter obtained her National Diploma in Fine Arts from the Central University of
Technology in Bloemfontein in 2011. She illustrates children’s books and enjoys working on
educational products.
