BLUE FAIRY –
This is a story with a beginning and an end that begins again. Like
everything and everyone around her, Blou Feetjie is part of the cycle
of life. She wishes everyone happiness as she laughs and frolics
gaily. Sometimes she plays near ten Very Special Stones that share
their ancient wisdom with her. She has to sit very quietly and listen
very carefully to how she can make life easier, and better, and more
beautiful, and happier, and lighter, and dearer, for others.

Lizette Rabe, a journalist and media academic, has approximately twenty years of experience
in the media industry. Previously the editor of Sarie, she became head of the postgraduate
Department of Journalism at Stellenbosch University in 2001. She is the author of several
academic and non-academic publications. She came up with the story of the blue fairy a
long, long time ago, but never wrote it – until the fairy forced her to finally tell her story

Mandi Fuchs, a talented graphic designer and jewellery designer, lives in Struisbaai. She enjoys
creating jewellery, art and ceramics in her studio.
